1.       PRIVACY POLICY

BLUEBIRD is committed to protecting the privacy of all uses of BLUEBIRD’s transport and technology services (hereafter the Transport Users). This Privacy Policy applies to the BLUEBIRD Passenger Application (hereafter the App) and associated services. It explains how personal information of Transport Users is collected, used, stored, and shared in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (‘POPIA’).

2.       INFORMATION COLLECTED

The App collects personal information including name, contact details, trip history, geolocation data, device information, and other details necessary to provide transport services.

3.       PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

Information is processed for the following purposes:

-         To provide safe and efficient transport services;

-         To generate and provide reports to the Clients of BLUEBIRD who are the employers of the Transport User;

-         To comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements;

-         To improve and optimise the App and related services.

4.       SHARING OF INFORMATION

BLUEBIRD will share Transport Users’ personal information with its Client for reporting and business purposes. Information may also be shared with authorised technology partners (such as hosting and analytics providers) where necessary to deliver the services. No personal information will be sold or shared with unauthorised third parties.

5.       USER RIGHTS

Transport Users have the right to access their personal information, request correction or deletion, and object to certain forms of processing. Requests must be submitted in writing to BLUEBIRD.

 

6.        DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION

7.       BLUEBIRD employs appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal information. Records are retained only for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with contractual or legal obligations.

8.       POLICY UPDATES

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updated versions will be made available on the App and the BLUEBIRD website.

By using the App, the Client and the Transport User signify their acceptance of our Privacy Policy. If the Client and/or the Transport User does not agree to this policy, please do not use the App. The Client’s continued use of the App following the posting of changes to these Terms and Conditions will mean that the Client and/the Transport User accept those changes.
